Dr. Wagner graduated from Boston College in Boston, Massachusetts, and later earned his Medical Degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Wagner then embarked on his medical journey by completing his Residency at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, which included a dedicated year of intensive spine research.
Dr. Wagner pursued a one-year Fellowship in Spinal Surgery at Brown University Hospital in Rhode Island.
