Sports Medicine Fellowship
Dr. Patel graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2007. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 2012. Following Medical School, he completed a five year Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Drexel University College of Medicine & Hahnemann Hospital.
He completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine, at Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He acted as Assistant Team Physician for the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia 76’ers, Philadelphia Flyers, as well as Villanova & St. Joe’s University.
Dr. Patel specializes in treating disorders of the knee and shoulder, as well as general orthopedics .
He is on staff at William Backus Hospital.
Dr. Patel provides surgical & non-surgical treatment of knee, hip, & shoulder disorders, specializing in Knee & Shoulder Arthroscopy & Replacement, Arthroscopy, Sports-Related Injuries, Cartilage Restoration, Fracture Care, Osteoarthritis, & General Orthopedics.
